The reason for been very very busy lock down was about to start due to covid and we were not aware.I would say that on a normal day it's a well stock store very clean and staff seemed very nice. Good car parking. No problems.

O	Omz Lomzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Witnessed a rather unpleasant encounter another customer had with a staff member at Countdown Otorohanga. The staff member (female - with dreadlocks) was stocking the shelves in the aisles and a customer had asked for her empty box...the response from the employee was a very abrupt "What"! with no customer service tone...she was extremely rude to this customer. I was shocked to see and hear this it was very disappointing. Most of the Countdown Otorohanga staff are pleasant and friendly. Ive never heard any staff member act like this. While going down another aisle I saw the same staff member being rather irrate towards assisting customers. It really didn't look like she enjoyed her job. Not a good look Countdown!!
M	Mogamat Salie Isaacs on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely Bad Experience from staff @Countdown Otorohanga Went to buy some tobacco paper for my mate and the lady totally refused to assist us as 1 of the guys never had his I.D with him. We were not rude and I was very polite in asking for the rolling paper after explaining to the cashier (Wannabe Manager Heather) that the person she is asking for I.D does not even smoke or Vape and that we produced our Identification of proof of age. I'm not sure if she was being racist or just refusing to sell us rolling paper. After explaining to her we not buying cigarettes just some paper she got very defensive and rude. Definitely not recommend this Countdown and will surely avoid this Supermarket. Thank you for the bad experience heading into 2022.
A	Amy Attrill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty good for good for little town supermarket. Has all the essentials. The overhead signage is low in the aisle so I had to peer down every aisle to see what it held. Other than that, countdown is great for supplying a bit of everything.
O	Oma Hamlin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visit often, when camping in Otorohanga. Excellent selection of products, good prices. The Supermarket is an asset for the community. I recall in earlier years, when there were small, vastly over priced grocery stores, only. This Supermarket is a blessing!
