The Art of Improvisation workshops that’s are run by the covert theatre are amazing. They use experienced improvisers as tutors and classes are well structured. If you’re new to improv or just a bit rusty they provide the opportunity to learn new skills, be in the moment, make new friends, gain confidence and just be silly for the evening. It’s so much fun, everyone should try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I started Improv 4 years ago, it was for a 10 week class - with no intention of ever performing! Today, I'm producing my own shows and working with an enormously talented group of Improv actors who I'm very proud to call friends. Covert Theatre's philosophy is all about making your fellow players look good. There's a feeling of all being in this together - the cast and the audience, and it makes for some very special (and funny!) shows.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did the Christmas special show here with a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. Small intimate theater made moreso by the audiance engagement. (Don't worry this isn't the sort of place which humiliates the audience, unless your up for that, then I'd say its an option..) genuinely funny and entertaining and great value for money. I will be brining a work group back here before the end of summer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being part of the Covert Theatre and doing the workshops to enable me to do that has been a wonderful experience. I would recommend any body to do the training classes, even if you never end up going on stage! it is so liberating, so much fun, so generous and connected... and one makes very good friends...playing with other adults is a blast!! Thank you, Covert Theatre, for keeping me young and reminding me that the best things happen when you take risks (especially when you know that all the other players have got your back! and that actually taking a risk is the safest thing to do....!!) Deep, huh? :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to impromptu night. Was very clever. Kristina like different skits to the ones I liked (something for everyone.) Clever how they have to think on their feet so fast. Good laughs!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just been to see an Improv show at the Covert Theater, a small well set up Theater with a great team of Improv actors who give their all to throw a great show filled with great showmanship, plenty of mischievous humor and a whole lot of laughter.
They started the Thearter June 2020 at the beginning of Covid, but they like the rest of us have survived through the lockdowns. This is a charitable trust and great worth supporting.
Their staff are uber friendly, it's easy to book, online or stop in and purchase your tickets, the prices are more than reasonable. Their shows are Thursday to Sunday and during the week they do classes.
They have a great little bar so if you are not up for a show stop in and have a drink as they have a well stocked bar.
Most of all if you are looking for a good laugh go and see a show, highly recommend going.....
