worst fish and chips ever! very disappointed. ordered 3 hokis and other food but got crumbed fish even though its not what i asked for. it was super bland and dry. 2 scoops of chips were like half a scoop, spring roll was not good either, and the battered hotdog looked like from frozen too. honestly, it looked like everything has been in the freezer pre covid! never going back. please, of you want to have good fish and chips, go somewhere else.

Waited 40+ minutes to get home to soggy chips! Fish was nice but batter was awfully soggy. Very disappointed.. Was looking forward to good fish and chips at the beach after an awful lockdown in Hamilton! :(

Brought $5 worth of chips would only feed 2 people. Nice chips. Well cooked.

The worst fish n chips we've ever had... sad. The fish was crumbed fillets from a box that had water coming out of them... Hardly any chips. Shouldn't even bother to be honest.

Not good at all! Been twice now (and only cause the better places are too busy) and never get given whats been ordered. Foods below average not fresh

Worst fish n chip I have ever had in my life. Not only taste terrible it looks even worse. None of us wanted to eat them, $35 to feed the rubbish bin.

Outstanding. A friend said they are the best takeaways in Whangamata - big call. Tried them last night and agree - outstanding. We had fresh Tarakihi battered, chips and a few mussels. The batter was fresh, golden, crispy, thick but fluffy and light! Faultless. New owners, moved here from Tauranga - real family affair with the young daughter on the till - give them a go and support them.

The spring rolls are a bit sweet for my liking & I don't particularly like raw onion on my burger or on anything for that matter. I guess you can opt not to have it. Nice staff and nice enough premises. Maybe try fried onion or change the menu up from the previous owner's?
