★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our preferred Yum Char destination in South Auckland. Love the prawn wontons and siu mai. Not the flashest of places, but you dont go there for the scenery. Food is good. Service is ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been coming here for just over 20 years. It was old and dated as hell back then, it has gotten worse since. This crusty fish tank with algae and 1 poor lobster sits adjacent to the counter. The prices are in the vicinity of $7 for 3 small items with a good range of either siu mai, little pies, dumplings or special items for about $8 for things like seaweed, octopus (ahhmazing), chicken feet. Served with nice tea, sauces have gone budget over the years of decline...blame it on the rain...or covid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was tasty and delicious, however sad there wasn't any chicken feet on the menu, I wanted to try this restaurant, so had yum cha!! Even got Mango peach pudding for dessert for free!☺️that's a bonus. Everything I ordered was yum. The lady was nice, Good service. Thank you Crown Restaurant will visit again hopefully you have chicken feet on the menu.☺️?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2 stars because of the same stuff from like 10 years ago. Deco, food and similar staff. I only do yum cha here...but it is the same stuff...nothing is done to order which might need to change because I don't know how long my dumplings have been sitting at the back for before they come out. But overall same place as I can remember....like same.

I made an order recently through phone (due to lockdown) and it was made fresh, in a timely manner and for reasonable prices. If it’s your first time - I recommend their deep fried squid, spring rolls, siu mai & prawn dumplings. They have an awesome selection of baked goods/desserts too. If you’re feeling adventurous you can try other traditional dishes - spare ribs, beef tripe, chicken feet. You can also ask for sides like white rice to enjoy with your selection of meats. They have friendly staff, a family setting & a clean restaurant. Thank you again.
