★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went back to get a repair job on a cut done there the day before. Had to wait 5 mins whilst one of the staff swept up & kept their child occupied before actually acknowledging us, but was only to say hello. A 'won't be long' or something similar, would have gone a long way. The only good thing to say about the place, is that the guy that sorted out the cut was decent and genuinely apologetic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please listen to the customer and cut their hair the way they ask, not how you like it. When I said, "do not cut off my sideburns" and we had a little kōrero to check mutual understanding on this point I didn't expect the barber to pick up clippers while doing the tidying at the back and suddenly shave both sideburns completely off. I also kept finding straggly bits behind my ears that hadn't been cut neatly. I really wanted to support local but going against a customer's specific request is a dealbreaker for me so I won't be back.
