However one Asian girl was serving me very arrogant and disrespectful. I would go there any more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of options, breads, cakes, slices sandwhiches, pies, scones -that just what i noticed. Classic all school food, good presentation & well known by all the locals, an institution. Would reccomd for a quick bite or if you needed lunch -well placed, easy to find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best bakery in Lower Hutt. Often busy, no paywave, but food is good to great. Just a heads-up up that their prices went up last week. Not complaining because they are just passing on their suppliers increases, just letting you know.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disgusting rude service! I ordered hot chocolates and some other things, and apart from the fact that she didn't understand what I was asking for, her attitude was very ugly and aggressive. So she had to call someone else to repeat my order, then the rude person came up to me and told me to take the rest of my order and wait. (Don't tell someone to wait in a pickup area and then put on an attitude when you go and do it.) I thought they were going to deliver my order all together. And aside from that, when she received the next customer, she received him embarrassed by the wait and apologizing as if it was my fault for not understanding my order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great pies & selection of them. Awesome selection of food with all the good ole standard pies, rolls, chips etc but with heaps of other options too, all at great value pricing. If I'm in the area & hungry, that's the place I always go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hands-down best custard square I have ever eaten. Delicious steak and blue cheese pie and chicken panini as well. Super friendly service and lots of options. This place is the quintessential NZ bakery and I would happily come back - you must visit!
