β β β β β Our dinner meal in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The accommodation was not quite so up there. Our room needs a complete birthday... repair and repaint would be a good starting point.

β β β β β My God dawsons food service is awesome, there were about 20 of us, and food came out under 30mins for most of us. Was so not expecting that lol and of course cooked to perfection staff were on point and atmosphere was great. We had the steak, chicken and mushroom risotto, salmon on roasted veges, crispy chicken and kΕ«mara fries fish chips salad, kids meals and vegetarian meal. So goid

β β β β β Food was great. Service was great. The hotel itself was not great. We chose it due to its rating. But it was not a 3 star rating place for the room. Top 10 camp sites are better. There were hocks hanging off walls. The lamp didn't work unless you fidle with the cord. Two beds but one was against the carboard and sticking out in front of the bathroon door. Don't have a shower...no hot water. Understand there is a water problem there but.. no airconcondition nor screens on the windows to stop bugs coming in. Beds were hard and i like that. Wasn't directed to the room nor parking so had to figure that out ourselves. No parking. My opinion..have the food and keep driving.

β β β β β Yes it is cheap but no I'd NEVER stay there again. It had oblong piece of unkept lawn with rows of boxes each side. I had to open door and wait outside till the smell had gone. We both woke with bad backs from the bed and the shower (pictured) and toilet were out of a prison. The barman was grumpy but I gave it 1 star cause the boy that served our meal was lovely and I saw a rainbow.

β β β β β Food. Battered beer fish, far far too oily, n overcooked, it resemble an old brown worn shoe. I enjoyed just the salad & chips. My husband enjoyed his burger. But 4 $60 , we felt our takeaways weren't worthy of the prices they charged us. My advice is this,... open up ur meal n check it in front of staff b 4 u leave, I just wished we had.

β β β β β Wednesday evening meal.
Overnighted in Reefton and the guys at Reefton Distilling suggested here as a dinner option. Was reasonably busy with a few tables being used, but plenty of room and no issues accommodating us (party of 2). A good range of beer and a few wines and the food we found well presented and tasty and atmosphere welcoming. Sky sport rugby on the big screen was a bit of a bonus.
Certainly would have no issues returning if we are ever passing through again.

β β β β β Came in for drinks and dinner with friends, staying in Reefton for my husband's birthday. Our meals were really good. Mix up with the order but the staff were pleasant and the error rectified efficiently. Well done guys!
