★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quiet and sunny. Helpful staff. Enjoyed our room, included bathroom and small kitchen. Small outside private balcony with seats and table looking out onto trees. Comfortable beds. Meals available at restaurant. Clean and tidy. Gave it 5 stars as just what needed at end of long, covid year

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best spaghetti bolognaise ever, well worth the drive, next time I will remember to ask for a sprinkle of parmesan cheese, also remember to ask for the Hawaiian Pizza pizza, it has the delicious motzerella cheese unlike the pepperoni pizza. Everything was "no worries" to the bartender who provided us with excellent service and even offered to change the genre of music to suit our ears and play my favourite music Santino Susfers on Spotify. Thank you so much for your hospitality, and be seeing you again soon.

Pub just across the lawn so getting a drink & feed after a long drive is easy,
Will visit again if I need a room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely lunch with friends well looked after.nice food great waiter.I think his name was Edward tall,dark hair young and well mannered. ? We just found the Music a bit loud.We are from Cambridge and out friends met us there from Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Throughly enjoyed our stay here, the rooms are spacious, warm and had a very nice sleep. Air conditioning with a TV that has Netflix and other services to keep the kids entertained. The restaurant had very delicious food and were generous with the portions and the prices. Staff were also helpful and friendly to make sure our needs were met. Definitely recommend staying here and looking forward to coming back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I had the most amazing and memorable stay! Our room was so spacious and comfortable. Very clean. Super massive comfortable bed with lots of pillows. Choice of Netflix and YouTube.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to the Salty Dog in for dinner Thursday evening. I had rung and booked a table. We arrived to an attractive building with loads of free parking although there's no lighting in the carpark which was a bit tricky. Dining room is separate from the bar so was quiet. Excellent service, extensive menu and the mains were beyond what you expect of pub food.
The desserts and coffee however were disappointing. The lemon pie filling was tasty but the pastry thick and soggy. The tiramisu was tasteless.
Jugs hang from the ceiling which is fun. The tables are spaces out which felt safe. We sat by the window and noticed bird pooh on the inside window frame and cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. Other than that everything appeared clean.
Best things about the Salty Dog - delicious mains and friendly service.
