The perfect place to drop in and refuel. It’s chef Al Brown’s place and reflects perfectly his attitude towards food: in season, beautifully cooked, to be enjoyed with friends.

One of my new favorite places to have a meal and social drinks. The entrée was amazing, the steak... superb ? the house drinks... highly recommended. To top off a beautiful meal? The staff are very friendly ?? I heard their breakfasts are good too. Looking forward to it.

This is a great place, and to our taste, the best cooks in town! We took Fergus bone marrow, Crisp ‘Freedom Farms’ pork hock and three sides: Potato skins, cumin cauliflower and Heirloom tomatoes. Absolutely every dish was utterly delicious! The hock was crispy outside and juicy and tender inside. The potato skins - crispy and golden, cauliflower - crispy and flavorsome and tomatoes - with great zesty dressing. The waiting staff are great! It's good that now Depot takes online bookings, as I remember times where there were no such options. I highly recommend this place! The first time I tried this place was many years ago, it is great that during this time the quality of food and service is kept at the highest level! keep up, the Depot team, you are doing an awesome job! Thank you heaps! Next time I will take photos of our food :)

Had lunch here today. Love the vibe. Friendly staff. The Russell oysters, fish sliders and the brisket were so delicious. Also had the clams, the clams were yum but the coriander sauce needed a little something extra and the potato skins was ok. Will definitely be back to try their other dishes.

Love the seafood there, tuatua and two types of oyster which includes Bay of Plenty Oyster and Coromandel Oyster. All the vegetables dish integrate new ideas into it, very impressive. Worth a try!

Great food and atmosphere. It's not your typical eatery (it's quite small compared to other restaurants) but packed with food that's full of flavours. Always a bliss to dine here. Try their pork hock, lamb ribs and wedges. If you're here for some fresh seafood, go and have a look at their seafood bar. You're in luck if they have Te Kouma oysters in stock, they're amazing.

We visited this place for dinner. We had tuatua, skirt steak, pork hock and bone marrow. We loved all of them. Pork hock and skirt steak were amazing. We loved the iceberg and apple on the sides as they went very well with meat.

An unassuming spot that's got so much more going for it than meets the eye from the outside. This is a place my brother would have loved to visit as the chef he was, because whilst they don't offer a lot of variety, they've mastered what they have. Bone marrow on toasted bread was good, potato skins perfect, pork hock great, and snapper sliders taking the cake. They've got a raw bar and what looks to be a good hand at making cocktails too. Very chic food to atmosphere in their own way I'd say. Oh, and I actually loved the metal water cups which is rare for me, but they kept it so cold on this hot day.
