About Desiree Costume Hire
Desiree Costume Hire is New Zealand’s oldest costume hire company having been around since 1928! We pride ourselves on continuing a long-standing tradition of providing a high-quality service through customer satisfaction.
Our circus themed shop is located in Penrose where hundreds of photos adorn the walls to provide inspiration. However these are just a small sample of Desiree’s huge range of costumes, shoes, wigs, masks, and other accessories.
Most of our costumes are handmade while others have been acquired from overseas. Our super friendly staff will guide you through a range of different options, provide advice and make suggestions so you can find a costume that works best for you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great costume hire with large selection to chose from. Lots of photos on wall to give you and idea of what is available and an idea of what the outfit lòoks like on. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Place could do with a make over or paint, seems dated and tired. The Santa suit fit perfectly for our secret santa staff lunch, picked it up next day with no probs at all. Over all great dealing with Desiree Costume Hire and would recommend to others.
