★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tiny place, so don't expect a huge variety (I know some reviewers have strange expectations sometimes which is a bit unfair to the eatery), but what they do have has been fresh tasting, prices average, and the staff are friendly. Never very crowded either, so you can easily pop in if you're crunched for time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to a lot of the sushi places around Wellington, and IMO Domo Sushi is one of the best. The staff are always very friendly and talkative, the sushi tastes really nice and is well presented, and they have some good flavours which you would t find at the other sushi stores.
This place also feels quite a bit more authentic than the other sushi stores around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sushi was good. The real MVP is the owner who is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. He took the time to greet every customer with a huge smile and little chat. He instantly brightened up my day with his warmth and I could tell all the other customers felt the same.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large excellent pieces of salmon sashimi for a very reasonable price. There is no ambience (other than the friendly owners): some high stools, and four chairs around a table, but the food makes it worth it -- there is significant variety, good quality and great pricing. The hot gyoza (choice of beef or pork) were excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For delicate, delicious and different sushi (NOT St Pierre’s) this is your place. Take a plate and a pair of tongs and pick from the treats on offer. Remember to look in the cabinet to the left of the till at the dumplings and hot stuff. There is also a blackboard menu. What’s not like. A hidden treasure.
