★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved it so much last year we came back the second time! Their kimchi soup is perfect after a hike. I think they use aged kimchi which makes it even more delicious. The service is very friendly and we will visit again next time we come to Queenstown.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's horrible experience here. I m vegetarian and when I asked to take out the stuff I can not eat then the chef said she cannot make the dish. I said I m from Auckland and so many Koran restaurants there can make it without the stuff I cannot eat with lovely taste. After I talked to waitress again then she said chef can try this time. Meal is ready but dish from stew looks like only half full in the stew. 20 dollars got half dishes with potatoes and pieces tofu in the stew. I tried to tell them that why dish is half full, then they said because you asked to took out those stuff you don't eat.. we told her that we just want bit more soup ... they need bit more respect to people who are with special diet requirement. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived at Doorae at around 5:30pm. We were greeted with such warm welcome. We had ordered KBBQ (Samgyupsal), Dwenjang stew and to complement our meal that we had we decided to have plum soju. We had finished our meal and decided to order another bottle of plum soju and with that we ordered the tteokbokki. It had so much flavour and just the right amount of spice. The melter cheese was the highlight and made everything complete. The staff were amazing from start to finish. I hope to come to queenstown soon to have some more different foods. I look forward to trying more food. Love Nicole and Kyu ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I normally dont like leaving bad reviews but this place left a really bad impression.
I know there is two side of the story but I wonder how the owner will justify this without using the classic "restaurant was fully booked" excuse.
On a 7:30pm on a Friday night when I arrived at the restaurant, it was very empty, only 3-4 tables occupied.
Thinking to myself, since its pandemic times, less people inside is better for avoiding covid. So I decided to go inside to dine in. However, I was instantly greeted with poor customer service and disappointment. I was instantly turned down at the door to dine in simply because I was dining alone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are only two Korean restaurants in Queenstown, both have good food but this one is at a more hidden location.
It's a better option if you have a car and want to avoid the crowd - much easier to park around (there's a parking lot behind the building) and has so much more space inside. Good range of food options, friendly staff and clean environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gosh we ordered the Fried chicken with fries and army stew with noodles and cheese. It was so yummy! Wish we could go back for their BBQ but we were visiting Queenstown and we are glad we managed to visit Doorae for lunch! Amazing Korean food, thank you so much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not too many Korean Restaurants in Queenstown, but was happy with the food and service we received last week at this restaurant. We enjoyed the BULGOGI - BEEF & BIBIMBAP. They were both delicious and flavourful. The only critique that I had was that I wish my dish was served warmer. I know I didn't get the Bibimbap on hot stone, but I don't think it meant that the meal should have been served cold. Everything else was great! Also got the miso soup yum! :)
