About Dora Doors
Finally returning to Waiheke with NO business to speak of they concluded after a period of indecision it was time to move to town. Next stop Westmere, central Auckland. Medium density housing with lots of houses and lots of neighbours!
Combining their two talents (industrial design, furniture design, a love of contemporary craft), and a burning desire to get back into a hands on business, Tim and Michelle saw an opportunity to bring creative security doors to inner-city dwellers and families. DORAdoors is born.
More accustomed to delegating the manufacturing of his designs, Tim decided with DORA to set up his own workshop to produce light security doors quickly and efficiently. With Tim’s background in industrial design, modern furniture and product design, he offers experienced ability and lightning speed skill to make new designs in response to customer’s ideas.
Since 2016 Bene our talented Austrian metalworker has joined the team. Bene has brought many skills and helped streamline processes bringing to the finished product an exceptional quality for detail and a truly excellent end result you will be proud to display at the entrance of your home.
At DORA we hope to provide you with a quick and simple solution, keeping the decision making and installation process easy with our creative standard designs and expert service.

It frames views of the garden and interior elegantly and with the inner door closed the glass panes become convincing leadlights.
The close match of the powdercoat colour, the accuracy of the metalwork and the understated classic design suit our little villa.
And it feels as though it has always been there.
