Not sure if I came on the wrong day...
Crab omelette, crab had shells inside, egg had too much water so almost wasn’t egg anymore, far too light. Sauce was average. Didn’t taste good. Crab was frozen crab, and was very bland and not good. There were shells and cartilage inside too which we had to keep spitting out.
Soft shell crab bao, the crab was extremely oily and dark, crunchy which was goot, but oil probably needs changing. Otherwise might’ve been deep fried twice.
Big breakfast mushrooms were bland and runny, tasted like it came from a tin. Wonton meat was very dry, maybe try add some fat or skin for it to be juicy as deep frying can easily dry out the pastry and inside too.
The duck duck as a very neat idea, but very over cooked, extremely dry as can be seen in the photo. Meat kept getting stuck in our teeth. Maybe try a different approach or sousvide and quick fry?
The curry was very watery tasted tin or jar. Or too much water added. Very bland and not rich and creamy.
I hope the chef takes these reviews serious so can be better in the future.
Bugs were found on table and around the restaurant. Tables also a little crammed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great coffee and excellent food at very reasonable prices. The sun was streaming in for our morning brunch. Very friendly service. Better than we expected from an ordinary looking place on the outside. The chef adds a touch of difference to the dishes. Great!
