Then last night followed the offender to assist others police informed never turned up.
Of the opinion Dunedin Police are a little lazy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely poor service for a solo parent and Tongan mother of two children. Came in to ask for a lift to the Dunedin Night Shelter and was told that there was no units available and have been here since 8:57pm and still “no units available”….poor service and poor staff manners to someone with mental health conditions she’s had since she was six years old due to traumatic experiences “family” should not inflict on a wee child. Absolute worst and will be making a complaints in regards to tonight and previous calls and welfare checks I’ve made and have not been updated on. Complaining to the chain of command, the Local MP and the Police Commissioner and the treatment of a Tongan Mum on a benefit and struggling mentally and physically and emotionally since moving here late July.
