★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome trip. Even though travelling as cheaply as I can, I am glad I splash out for this. The scenery is amazing as you leave Dunedin and enter the beautiful pine forests and river flowing gorges. You can stand between the carriages and enjoy the view from there. Toilets are onboard as well as reasonably priced snacks and drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building looks nice. It's not far from the Octagon. You can do two different tourist train trips. I did both and recommend the Taieri Gorge trip if you can spare the time and money. There is some great landscapes to see outside of Dunedin. After this trip though, the Seasider felt a little bit boring overall. Bring a camera. You can stand on the platforms between the carriages for most of the ride. If you can choose the day, don't do the same mistake that I did: everyone wants to do the trip on a Sunday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a great place. Do check out this railway station. They do have some gallery thing going on on the second level, you can check those out as well. You can book for a train ride along the coast of Dunedin as well. It's something you don't get to see while driving or walking. It's recommended, the scenery is beautiful. Prices vary during summertime and winter, so do check out the prices on their website.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! Some of the most spectacular architecture I have ever seen. In pristine condition, this building is absolutely magnificent. For the train itself, I went on the Taieri Gorge train trip which was absolutely marvellous. 4 and a half hours of fantastic siteseeing and some very informative information about the area and it’s past. Would highly recommend the train trip and a visit to the train station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being someone that likes plain and functional, I was dragged along by my wife and was absolutely blown away by the design and architecture of this wonderful building. The mosaic floor of the main concourse would be the envy of the ancient Romans and Christopher Wren would no doubt marvel at the architecture. The stained glass would not be out of place in a Tiffany's catalogue. A wow experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magnificent Architecture with a lot of detail. Well maintained front gardens is an additional beauty to the already impressive railway station. The art display on the top floor is fantastic. No wonder it is the most photographed building in the Southern Hemisphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dunedin is one of the greatest citys in New Zealand, The heritage and culture is vast and the train station is something to marvel. It's been maintained throughout the ages and still stands proudly with a team of friendly staff inside to answer any questions you may have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This really is a lovely city, we were fortunate the weather was perfect, beautiful warm day and we really saw the railway station and surrounding areas at its best.
This is named the " Most Beautiful Railway Station" in the world and it would be hard to disagree.
It's a treasure.
Definitely has to be on the " must see" list when visiting Dunedin.
Highly recommended.
