End of autumn but still plenty of colour. Gift shop with some bargains. Pleasant cafe area, had excellent fruity slice

A beautiful place to visit. Take a walk through the trees, listen to the birds, enjoy a coffee and food from the cafe and visit the lovely shop. This site needs your support and is well worth taking time to travel there.

This place is amazing. The walks are all relatively easy. The trees on autumn are out of this world, the array of colours is brilliant. Highly recommend visiting here.

A lovely peaceful place to walk and relax amongst the trees. Quite an adhoc arrangement created by an eccentric nudist a few decades ago. Apparently he used to wear only a wellington for spade work! The labelling and mapping is fairly minimal but there are lots of interesting plants. When we were there on a summer Sunday afternoon we saw only two other people!

Having thought about visiting Eastwoodhill for some time we thought we must make the trip from Auckland as Autumn was in full swing. We were not disappointed. We booked a tour. We had Martin as our guide and were delighted to have such an expert to explain the history and management of the Arboretum. He was also a brilliant golf buggy driver. The tour is the best way to view the Arboretum in all its beauty. Many thanks to all the staff for a great day.

I had a fabulous walk through this beautiful space. I liked the trails and way that this was very natural. It was peaceful and quiet with lots of bird noises. It is about 20 minutes drive from the roundabout. Keep up the great work.

Lovely place. Interesting range of species and history. Would improve if some of the specimens were labelled. Outstanding species should be identified on a map for a true arboretum experience. But still a lovely morning out and a great asset for Gisborne.

We did a jeep tour with Martin which was amazing. It was really informative - we thoroughly enjoyed learning the history and understanding the value of this incredible resource. We were served a delicious lunch at the beautiful Tasty Leaf cafe which completed this experience. We highly recommend a trip to this beautiful place which surprised and delighted us. Many thanks to the wonderful team who went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our time. Angele, Wendy and Gail
