Included no paper bags at any price!
There was none available.
I was not offered a receipt, upon seeking my receipt, she laughed, and ignored my pleas.
So after I had restacked them into my arm, juggeling then with no bag, and awaiting a reply to my receipt request, she grabbed them again from my arm, and scanned them again, giving me the receipt, and again leaving them in a mess on the counter as she stepped aside and served someone else.
Again I restacked them onto my arm.
No thank you, and no bag.
Someone please tell the shop keepers, they can all use paper sacks with Handel's, (just not plastic bags)
Somehow the paper sacks in the smaller retailers such as the one in St heliers, has not understood, nor grasped the whole paper sacks replaced the plastic bag issue.
Customers are suffering shabby service, with no offer of sacks.
Organic biodegradable paper is the alternative to plastic, it's not war time rationing of paper sacks to prevent serving customers with respect without an apology.
But it feels like gosh it's a privelledge, to get the courtesay of a paper bag.
I believe we should all think paper was a great alternative to plastic sacks ( plastic in the past that caused our ocean life to leathally ingest, and dogs ingest, and our landfills to be stuffed with plastic to name a few reasons.
Sure they are not as strong, but still very needed.
" Please shop keepers , buy the paper bags, use them and charge us, just the same as you did the plastic.
Up date.
Problem resolved.
The shop now sells a variety of bags from a woven light- paper bag to a vinal bag.

โ โ โ โ โ This foodstore has been here a long time. They have plenty of stock in store. Produce, dry goods, wine, baking, cleaners, flowers, chips and chocolate and a lot more. The isle are wide enough for mobility and the interior is light and airy. There are usually two staff around so assistance to reach the high goods if needed. They are a Lotto outlet. Parking outside in the street which is metred for reasonable good lengths of time.

โ โ โ โ โ Good store, clean and tidy and best is you can buy local Auckland brand Cammells Honey here. WOW! Also Very helpful staff and easy to find stuff.
Now we can get Manuka Honey Lozenges here.....wow!

Decent choice, somewhat on a pricey side but that's expected from a convenient local store.
Good choice of fresh produce, bread and some pastries.
Friendly staff always welcoming to both locals and visitors
