★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our flat have had an amazing experience flatting for the last two years. Chris is our landlord and we really appreciate what he does to help us out. He's always just one text or phone call away if we have problems with the flat and someone is almost always there to fix the problem within the day. We are staying in the same flat for a third year and we have always had a very smooth transition each year with new tenants coming and going. We've never had any issues and are extremely happy with our landlord at Edinburgh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Signed up for viewings for 4 student flats, yet only ever got an email setting up a time for one of them, which then got cancelled just before the viewing on the same day with no explanation, and no reply to rebook. For the other 3 flats, all I got was emails saying "sorry, this flat is under application already". There wasn't even a viewing time?? Moreover, as soon as the flat list came out, we tried to apply for a flat, but it said it was rented. The list just came out? Shambles, bad communication, no opportunity to even try for a flat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a rental property in Dunedin. Over the last ten years, I have tried three property managers so far - the first one charged me for work that never happened, and kept the rent for a month or two. The second were great until they put the person I was dealing with off, then sued her for talking to me -( we had become friends on a professional level. ) Any way she recommended Edinburgh to me - and they have been helping me rent the property for a year now. Our property manager in Chris - who is diligent and prompt. We get the rent paid on a fortnightly basis - and he will actually call me in Australia, usually with a bit of banter - but all good. That is a first. Most communications are prompt, and acted on the same day. We are very happy with the service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was enquiring about a property in the past few days, I was an interested tenant and had questions regarding the property. I contacted the agent and I must say, the lack of professionalism in your communication is something I have not experienced anywhere before. I almost never leave reviews, but you might risk losing business if you do not give that respect to your customers. I am so disappointed. I don't mean to be rude in anyway but hope you take this as constructive feedback because I am so disappointed that no matter how much I like the property, the thought of having a property manager respond to my query in such an unfriendly manner is really off putting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Property manager had to contact the person who previously had their job who now worked for the opposition to know how to do her job. Absolutely hopeless and had no understanding of the law. Was abusive and obtrusive beyond what would ever be appropriate, and sided with a tenant who was actually damaging their property due to personal interests. Good way to protect your client’s financial interests. Also in previous dealings other managers would show rooms that were “available” for rent and turns out they were already signed for the next year. I wouldn’t get you to manage a property if you were a thousand dollars cheaper than anywhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff there are so rude. I have been to there to look for a student studio. However, they are unwilling to help with anything. Luckily, I didn't rent a studio with them.
1) The receptionist is absolutely arrogant. When I go there and said I urgently look for a studio. They just ask me to take a look on their leaflet. After I choose a few studio and request for reviewing, I am 100% sure that the reception lady has saw me standing in front of her and waiting. But she ignore me for 15 minutes and said that she has to handle her job on hand at that moment.
2) The agent Natasha is also unhelpful. They just keep stressing students and said that their studio is very popular and not much studio are left, trying to force potential tenant to apply asap... They just simply wanna rip people money off using that urgency of student in looking for a flat.
Definitely not recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to recommend Chris from Edinburgh Realty on the excellent customer service he provided to me as a new renter to the Dunedin market.
Chris took time to work through my questions and assisted me with ongoing matters in terms of power and Internet.
He was honest and transparent in his dealings and it has made my move to work at Otago University much easier than anticipated. Mention must also be made of the receptionist was very friendly and has a great sense of humour.
