β β β β β Absolutely applauding service, Staff ask for more money to complete visa's even when prices have already been quoted and if you refuse to pay the extra then there are "problems" with your application and it gets delayed or sent back, staff rarely if ever pick up the phone AND if you are lucky to get someone they give you extensions to numbers that dont work? Is this a government embassy or something run by gangster?

β β β β β THEY NEVER EVER pick up their phone. They misplaced the original passport and HAD TO FLY to wellington in emergency because still haven't returned our passports. Instead of notifying the client, they ignore calls/messages. Never called back. Horrible experience !

β β β β β called almost everyday no one bothers picking up the phone. Or just pick up and say im busy , call back then hang up. Disgusting service, rude etc... Even quoted wrong fee for applying to do a new passport again. Anyone should write a review about this terrible service so we can have evidence against them to report it back to Vietnam Govt. These embassy have to go a proper behaviour learning class again to learn how to answer and hehave

β β β β β I have no complaints other than price -- it was 120$ for a visitor visa (which I had prefilled in an online form, and it was unable to complete, gave me a reference number to bring to the embassy). When I arrived at 2:15 there was no one else there. The man took my order number, printed out my application for me, and took my passport with 120 cash. Then gave me a note as to when to pick it up. Very simple, straightforward.

β β β β β Ridiculous that they call themselves an embassy. Staff are uncontactable by phone or email, it takes less time to travel directly to Vietnam and get questions answered there. With their performance and accessibility I wonder why their government even bothers having an embassy in here.

β β β β β Absolutely helpful with great service.
I often hear as well as reading negative comment on Fb, Gg and other socials about the Embassy of Vietnam in New Zealand but personally I visited the office with all the paper works needed to get visa and renew passports for my whole family with a great experience. Mr Thanh was extremely helpful and guided me with what I need as well as providing different types of forms because my nieces and nephews never had Vietnamese passport before.
The reason for delaying on the phone was possibly that there's so many calls to the office at once. I was there for almost 3 hours because I had 7 applications to do and the phone wasn't stop ringing every 5 mins. So I hope for your patient and empathy to the officers. I also have been watching the lady in the room working hard with many applications.
Also, admired the empathy they had for my brother in law's situation when he have to travel to Vietnam during covid because his dad was really ill. The embassy helped him to attain the passport so quickly after knowing the situation. He made it to see his father 2 days before his dad passed away.
Thanks to the embassy for the service.
