Overcharged by triple for 4 bags of rubbish, tried calling to try rectify the situation but no answer from direct 07 and 0800.

Big facility with great staff members.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The process should be easier by having a person on entry and exit dealing withe the public. There were 2 people when I exit the place but on entry the 1 person was dealing with both. Also the entry on Greenwood St (right turn) needs to be removed the traffic was long from the roundabout to the dump and the cars coming from the other way were turning into the dump without the care of cars in line and the cars continuing on the liveliness. This is an accident waiting to happen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went the transfer station purposely to recycle some items of furniture. We were directed to the drop off lane and were greeted by two lovely women. I inquired if there were any "men" working today as both my daughter and I had already loaded the heavy furniture onto the trailer and I wasn't in the mood to unload the furniture as well. Unfortunately, as there were no men available - (historically there had always been a very efficient team of men who assisted with unloading goods at the recycling centre) we decided to drive to the "Salvation Army Store in Victoria Street", who had a very helpful team who unloaded our trailer very quickly and efficiently - we were also given two bottles of chilled water which was really appreciated - Maybe I missed something but has the contract for the recycling centre changed hands?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a need for places like this, since we as humans accumulate hoads of rubbish and being able to take these unwanted things to a place where it can be recycled or controlled waste management.
This is the place and its staff are helpful by directing you to where your rubbish can be tipped or dumped.
Reasonably priced and dependent on how much rubbish you have to pay for based on your weight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mixed results here. And found over many visits. One guy seems to charge as much as he can while the queues to get out are painfully long. He seems to be wanting to prove something.
There’s a girl who works there who is really cool who charges fairly and gets the money at the start which speeds up throughput. Who ever she is needs to be made manager.
Until then we are going to the competitor down the road. Costs more but we get our day back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although I still miss going to the dump with Dad and bringing home almost as much as we took, that was 50 years ago. These guys have a joy and interest in their workplace and customers that high street retailers could learn from. I honestly applaud whatever the boss is putting in their corn flakes. It makes going there a real pleasure. Thanks for this unlikely treat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff at weighbridge more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Didn't talk to me and then overcharged for the load that I had taken. This is what happens when you have a monopoly nothing you can do about atrocious service. To get refund had to return the following day. My time is too valuable to mess around so will not worry about the refund. :-( :-(
