★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Etco requires that applicants spend $4000 on a 12 day course before even being accepted as an apprentice.
This information is not clearly posted on their website or given to you by their recruiters.
They also pay their apprentices the training wage - 80% of the minimum wage.
This is misleading and in my opinion also exploitative.
I would recommend people trying to get an apprenticeship to look elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely horrible organisation, experienced bullying and lying by wellington co-ordinator and was treated as property rather than a person when I indicated I wanted to leave for skills. When I left etco, etco went out of there way to make it as difficult as possible for me to become qualified. Highly do NOT recommend for anyone, it is definitely worth waiting for a skills apprenticeship.
