I love this place...too much. Always end up spending double what I planned as everything is just so good. May not be allowed to shop here unsupervised any longer.

Fabulous selection of Italian cold meats, cheeses, pasta, tinned tomatoes and sweets. My go to place for stocking up on antipasti.

I appreciate that there is a deli looking to supply European small goods and pantry items. However, of the nonperishable items, there are no products sold here which cannot be purchased in quite a number of other, more accessible stores such as the international section of a larger New World. My visit was short and yet frustrating. The store manager/matron in charge was training her new staff member during my visit. Throughout my entire visit, the manager gabbled angrily and condescendingly to her trainee - for whom this was VERY CLEARLY HER FIRST JOB. CUT HER SOME SLACK. I listened to the manager snap and squawk at this poor new girl like she'd just driven her car through the shop window. Not only was the unpleasant lecturing constant, but when I approached the counter, the manager snapped at the poor girl to "hurry up, someone's waiting". The girl asked me what I wanted, and pulled it from the cabinet. When I went to pay, the manager turned around the demanded that the poor trainee re-wrap my purchase three separate times. When I asked her to stop and said I wanted to take my purchase as-is, the manager responded with "She needs to learn properly, I'm sorry but I won't give it to you like this". When I specifically asked to have it just as it was, and (very politely - I am not a Karen) insisted, the manager literally cut me off mid-sentence with a loud, "I'm sorry." and kept scolding the trainee. Bear in mind it was this girl's FIRST JOB. When I said, once again, that I was specifically asking for the item as it was, the manager shook her head and said a flat, "No." She cut off the "unattractive" end of the meat I was buying - and therefore reducing the quantity of the item I wanted to buy?????? She then pointed past the poor trainee's face to the register and told her to "fix it up". I've never seen someone take such an aggressive and unpleasant approach to teaching someone something new. When the girl tallied up my purchase, I tried to whisper that I thought she was doing just fine. The items are of generally high quality and reasonable price, and while I appreciate the store existing, I will not be returning and will find and recommend other purveyors of small goods in future.

I passed in front of Eurodell yesterday (7/05/21) and, being from Europe and having run several restaurants, decided to pop in by curiosity as I was early to a local appointment. I bought a few imported products, some olive oil and some local products such as prosciutto and beef Pastrami sealed in a vacuum bag. Today I had some friends around and decided to open the beef pastrami and mixed it to an antipasto salad. 1 hour later two of my guests and myself started feeling nauseous and badly sick ending up vomiting. 3 hours later some of us started to experience headaches followed by violent stomach cramps and fever with more vomiting and horrible intestinal pains until the end of the day. Unfortunately we were unable to get medical attention until much later. I only realised it was the beef that made us sick when I open my fridge in the evening. A faint odour came from the container (which was sealed) where I had put the beef after opening the pack. When I open the container the smell became so potent, I had to put it in the freezer inside a plastic freezer bag. I went to the bin to look at the vacuum pack (Photo). The was only an illegible description of the content and definitely NO Used-by-date. The label showed a price reduction from $10.62 to $7.00 and a packing date showing the meat was packed on 15.03.21 and was on the shelf for almost 2 months. My friends and I have decided to file a complaint to investigate this business food health and safety practices. We advise Eurodell customers to be extremely cautious when buying supposedly "Fresh products" such as cheeses, sausages or any processed meats from this place. Our fault was to not look for Used by dates as we normally trust NZ businesses to follow strict food health practices.
