About Fairfield College
“Koiora” recognises our four Maunga and their particular kaitiaki, while acknowledging Tamanuiteraa as a source of life. We acknowledge the many students that contributed to this work and recognise particularly the 2017 Fairfield Junior Youth Group and the 2017 Year 11 Future Pathways class.
The mural also represents the continued strengthening of culture in Kukutaruhe. In order to move forward as a people we must recognise the spiritual existence encapsulated in our physical environment as a mirror of the work of creation.

β β β β β Unfair school that receives so much undeserving praise. My mate (African-American) decided to knock down a couple chairs and desks for a funny video. Was it a sensible idea in the first place? No, but was the punishment fair? Absolutely not. No furniture was broken, and nobody was harmed in the incident. When all was done, he immediately began cleaning up after himself rather than leaving it like many others would.
What does the school do? They kick him out, no second chances. His Nan is charged for "damages" that were never done to begin with. This is what the school's worried about, a harmless joke? I've witnessed students vaping right before a teacher's very eyes, and that teacher does absolutely nothing. I've seen groups of kids get into fights, and those same kids can get off with being stood down. Then when my mate, an African-American, gets caught knocking down a couple desks and chairs, he's instantly kicked. This is pathetic.
