★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s ok but overpriced and staff aren’t helpful at times. Tried ordering an expensive item for pickup from store (didn’t want it delivered to my home when I’m at work. Spoke with two staff that said it had to be delivered to my house and they wouldn’t help me. Went home and found collect in store is an option, but item was much cheaper at another retailer so ordered from another business. (Downgraded to one star. Can’t find anyone willing to process a sale. Never coming back)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely great store. Came in on Thursday looking for a lipgloss and a wonderful girl (I want to say her name was Aine?) helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Great customer service, especially in the health and beauty department.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Farmers is a reliable shop for always having more upmarket clothes at upmarket prices. Often of a better quality too. The staff are friendly and helpful which can sometimes be missed at more upmarket stores. I can always count on Farmers to have a nice pair of trousers or a nice button up shirt for going out.

Last Saturday we went to Farmers in Dunedin to look for a child car seat for transporting our two Granddaughters (different ages and stages) in either of our two vehicles. We were somewhat mesmerised by the range available. Not knowing what options would be best of us we sought help. The assistant went away and found the help we sorely needed. That was help from Stace. She was just the person we needed, albeit she was currently in the Manchester Department. She explained what each option provided, and recommended two car seats that would provide the flexibility and longevity we needed. By the time we left we were well informed for making a decision and will definitely purchase one of the two options suggested to us by Stace in the near future.
As we continued our shopping that day we ran into her again in the women's wear and she helped my wife make a good choice there too. Stace is a real star and an asset to Farmers in Dunedin, although they probably know that already, as would anyone fortunate enough to have encountered her in store. Great service is such a rarity these days, and I needed to ensure that it was acknowledged by writing this review.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bright well lit store which is very welcoming. Enter from George Street into a huge makeup and fragrances area which has many helpful but not pushy assistants. The men's and women's clothing areas are huge with many labeled lines as well as bargains intermixed.
Downstairs, also huge, has extensive furniture and soft furnishing sections as well as a large area for children's clothing and toys.
Staff are helpful and not at all pushy which suits the people of the south

Has really improved since, the staff in the make up department are really quick to make suggestions and find a product that suits your needs (main reason for my visits). Great range of products with all price points and love the glass house fragrance selection that is always well stocked. Awesome job, that department rocks!!
