We are sorry to read of your recent experience and hope that your extraction site has now healed but patient confidentiality means we are unable to discuss specifics on a public forum.
However, generally speaking extractions are a last resort treatment as they are essentially amputating part of the body. This is not something we undertake lightly, and is most frequently necessary due to advanced tooth decay or bone disease (or both), usually because oral health care has been neglected.
At Feilding Dental Centre we care for and treat thousands of patients each year and thankfully we cannot recall the last time such an unfortunate incident occurred.
We are not perfect and do our best for patients - sometimes under very stressful conditions for both parties. As clinicians we have no control over the body's healing process and therefore routinely call patients who have had extractions a few days later to ensure they are on the road to recovery. We also have no control over when patients attend for treatment, and experience teaches that those who delay treatment often incur more stress and financial cost than those who do not delay seeking help.

I had a difficult complicated extraction.
Jeff executed it's removal with kindness.patience,competence and was completely pain free with just local.
No bruising or bleeding.I'm am super impressed as I'm not a brave patient.Fantastic job.Thankyou Jeff.

Jeff and Helen were very patient with me and everything went very well. Jeff was very calm and clear with his explanations before during and following the procedure. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Feilding Dental Centre are very fortunate to have a great team of dentist, Malosi, dental assistant, Toshi and hygienist, Sylvia. Normally I do not like a visit to the dentist and am very nervous throughout the visit. I did not feel nervous through a long visit in which much work was done and an extraction also took place. Both Malosi and Toshi were competent and caring. Toshi even held my hand while the tooth was extracted, there was no pain. For Sylvia the hygenist. She was so thorough that as my daughter puts it, you feel that your mouth has been put tnrough the car wash and tnoroughly cleaned. A lovely personality as well. I will no longer have qualms about going to the dentist as long as it's Malosi and Toshi.
