★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great family owned takeaway. When I first came to Te Kuiti 5 years ago I was served by the owners son, whom looked like he was only 10years. He was very well mannered and served me well. Today, the kids are still working along their parents and is so humbling to see.
Their prices are really good too...$5 for two hamburgers...now that is a fab deal!
The kids clean and are always friendly and welcoming. The food menu is awesome too. You wont be dissapointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop doesn’t even deserve 1 star it should deserve less than 1 star the service wasn’t that good I had to wait for a while when there was nobody even in the shop now let’s get into the food part the food might be cheap but it’s not really nice I brought $5 chips and 2 ham burgers and it wasn’t even worth my money the chip portion was terrible there wasn’t even enough to feed my 6 year old and the burgers was alright but it needs more filling like there was 1 tiny handful of lettuce and less than a teaspoon sauce in that burger maybe if your shop has less options on the menu and better quantities it might be better but what I had was not it

Cheap, maybe, but get what you pay for.
I ordered a cheese burger with half fries and I have never been given something so substandard. The salad amounted to a teaspoon of lettuce, patty was reasonable, cheese was a token gesture. Half teaspoon of sauce and mayo. And somebody likely spilt the salt on my fries
This place needs to up their game - maybe reduce the menu and do less but better
Two burgers for $6 is more than they are worth
Service was good and for that, I thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the worst Chinese takeaways I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of Chinese takeaways. I ordered the egg fried rice, sweet and sour fish, and a bag of prawn crackers. With my fried rice, I think all they used was 1 quail egg because there was BARELY any egg in it for an ‘egg fried rice’. The fish was pretty much just fish in sweet and sour water. And lastly I’ve never had prawn crackers so stale. I have no clue how this place has such a high rating. Folks of Te Kuiti, try and see how Chinese takeaways somewhere else, you deserve better.
