Flooring Xtra Manukau - Manukau City Centre

Absolutely terrible service they were supposed to be here 3 days ago but they never turned up and no call or emails saying they weren't turning up. We followed up with a couple of emails and a text message only taken 3 days to get a response to someone not turning up to fix poor their workmanship. They are consistent though, consistently late that is they are so reliable on this front you can guarantee they will be late to their own funeral. They were a day and a half late turning up on the initial install, now they are 4 days late to fix their poor workmanship. On top of this they didn't re-attach doors correctly, left electronic equipment out in the rain and damaged a leather chair. I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody.

We would highly recommend Flooring Xtra, have just put down wooden flooring throughout our home and they came and measured everything and were spot on with their materials. Such friendly helpful staff and a special thank you to Ken, we are so happy with the end results. Di and Tim

Ken at Floor Xtra Manukau was extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with and sold me my beautiful new carpet. His installers were very hard working, polite, helpful, took every care with my furniture and installed to perfection. A great experience I would highly recommended. Tina

Unfortunately not the best experience. The installer was 1.5 day late for install, no phone call, I had taken a day off work to be home for it. Installed finally happened, Curtains were draped outside windows and left in poor weather along with Tv cabinet and desk, 1x leather chair ripped and door hinges left half attached. Really lazy job with no care taken on personal property. To top it off carpet lifting around tiles and stair well a month after install. Same communication issues trying to get someone out to fix it, another day off work, another day no show... really inconsiderate. I wouldn’t recommend this business services. Really disappointed. In response to yours below - please see attached quote “help shift the Furniture”. Unfortunately our experience is as it stands, the facts are; - There was open, polite communication, however responses were not followed through buy you. The phone conversation on the day was me asking why no one had turned up, not to confirm furniture, as this had been discussed prior- see quote attached. - The house had been completely emptied bar 4 items down stairs and x3 items upstairs. - Installer said he would place plastic over furniture in case of bad weather. -I was off site for 30mins that day posting mail, I came back to installer sitting in van whilst curtains and furniture where left in the pissing rain, the attempt to do anything about it only occurred when he saw me pull up in my car. -In total, from install to repairs from poor workmanship I lost 3.5 day wages waiting and chasing as to why no one had turned up as discussed in our ‘open, polite communication’. - There was damage to personal property and door hinges not reattached. -1 month later, repairs were needed. the same communication issues. No show, no phone call or follow up/apology. Based on the pre assessment/measurement of the job, it is your professional recommendation on how many installers are required to see a job through. As you can see from the quote there was no ‘hidden furniture’ removal at your expense. The installer did have a really hard time trying to work the carpet himself, I assisted/helped place, pull and move the carpet to make things easier where I could. In the installers frustration, he tried calling his manger requesting further assistance as he felt the job was difficult for himself. As a good old Tui beer billboard would say “New carpet install, easy as bro”. Tui - Yeah Right!

Great job - from quoting, and then on fitting day when the fitter phoned before they arrived, checking the details of the carpet, fitting the carpet, checking we were happy with the job, and clearing away the underlay and carpet offcuts afterwards. This is our second carpet from Flooring Xtra Manukau - and we're happy customers!

I contacted Flooring Xtra on 10/1 and was amazed at how quick Ken responded and arranged carpet installation. It was completed on 17/1 and the person who installed it was pretty quick and job well done. Thank you.

We recently had the "quick step majestic desert oak" laminate floor installed in an old tiled conservatory and the result is phenomenal. Would recommend Flooring Xtra Manukau to everyone! John and Vanessa came and did the install and they were awesome - With their friendly 'can-do' attitude, specialized knowledge, and outstanding work ethic. They went the extra mile to make the floor look perfect, exceeding our expectations. They ground back the tiles to make them even and as level as possible, undercutting the skirting and brick edges so the floor goes wall to wall, rather than having a trim. The new floor is wonderful and it warms up the room. They also made sure to vacuum up all the dust and did a really great job of cleaning. Great sales process, great installation experience, great product from a great expert team. Thanks so much to all involved.
