About Foot Forward Shoes
Hello and welcome to our web store.
We are a family owned business, based in a lovely tree lined street in Hamilton NZ. It's a fab place to work with ample parking just out the door, a park over the road and a kindy next door. Just bliss, with lots of children's laughter.
The founder, Amanda Houghton, started the business from scratch as she wanted to provide quality children's shoes, with great service and fitting advice to her local community.
The store carries a great range of kid's shoes. Our quality children's brands include Bobux, Skechers, Dr Martens, Vans, Crocs, Teva, Keen, Bibi, Clarks and more. Our women's section is mostly flats and casuals, great fitting shoes for women of all ages and up to a US size 11. And as children can have adults feet at quite a young age, these styles suit them as well.
What we love to do is fit your child's shoes. We want them to last and have to get correct grow room and width. However, we know that this is not possible for everyone to come in store, so we are pleased to serve you better with our online presence.
Also, if you are not sure on how a pair of shoes fit, video call us and we will do the best we can to guide you though the process.
In order to make it more affordable for families, we have lowered our prices as much as we can from manufacturers RRP. We want you to know that we will not have sales, just after you have purchased your shoes! We know that this can be a real issue for you. Though we will have clearance prices at times due to last of lines, overstocked, shop soiled etc.

They stock a good range of shoes I like for my little person. This time round my order was close to Christmas and enclosed was a strip of Fruit and Vegetable Stickers, this was a nice surprise. They do list some products on Trademe as well. I have no hesitation in purchasing from them directly in the future or recommending them to friends and family. The shoes are already well used this summer.

Lady was extremely rude and made me feel absolutely humiliated in front of other staff and customers due to it being well outside the exchange period. (Note- shoes in perfect condition). She even pointed out that the paper had been taken out of the shoe box and the cardboard was in the shoes wrong, um my kids had to try them on?? Massive bully vibes from the owner. I’m glad I stood my ground even though I wanted to burst into tears and run. My mother has been buying my kids shoes from there for years, you would think you would value customers a bit better. I’m so glad I went in as someone who left a comment below tried to do the same online and wasn’t successful. Ps. Your shop was very dusty, instead of shaming customers, maybe do some dusting. I’m horrified at how you treated me.
