Alexmarie is a Florist in Hamilton, NZ. We pride ourselves on hand picked fresh flowers, dried flowers and wreaths. We also have a wide range of indoor plants from mini succulents to giant peace lilies, monsteras and fiddle leafs. Alexmarie also has a lovely range of homeware goods and gifts.
About Alexmarie - Florist, Plants & Gifts
I love black, white, natural touches such as wood, concrete, shells and plants. There are also a lot of New Zealand designers here on this website, which I am proud to support.
I have always loved making ‘a house a home’ with lots of good food, love, laughter and gorgeous things to feel and admire. I am also very passionate about health and using natural products in my home and on my body as you will see with the items I stand behind.
We have a wide range in fresh and dried flowers. We are happy to work with you with what you require, whether it's a bouquet of flowers, your wedding or have flowers delivered to your workplace weekly. We do it all.
I started Alexmarie ten years ago making up beautiful gift boxes. Life got busy with me raising my family and it wasn't until the end of 2016 that I re-launched Alexmarie. Now I am full time with Alexmarie and love it.

β β β β β Very disappointed and upset with what was supplied, I wrote them an email and didn't hear back for over two weeks. When I went instore and expressed that I hadn't got what I ordered, I was told that I had ordered what I got and that I was lying. I feel very hurt for being spoken to so rudely and them saying I'm lying. "No refund or apology was given". Below is the email I sent them which they didn't even respond to:
Hi there,
We recently ordered flowers from you for my brother's wedding. We had been looking everywhere for white flowers as that's what the bride wanted, however because of the time of year they weren't available. I was shown a small pale pink rose and asked if that was ok as it wasn't white but at least close to white. I sent a photo to the bride and she agreed. I asked for small flowers to be used in the arrangement and for some small flowers on a clip (I provided multiple clips for you guys to choose from) and some small flowers for the brides corsage as well as for the groom's suit.
The bride and groom chose a pale pink shirt for the groom to match the floral arrangement. They had planned a very small wedding and flowers was one of the few things they had decided to spend some of their limited budget on. So you canΒ imagine their disappointment when things really didn't go as planned.
Firstly the floral arrangements provided were ORANGE, there was maybe ONE of those pink flowers that i was initially shown in the entire arrangement. I really wish this has been communicated better to me if you were not going to use just pale pink. Infact I would say the colours used were just orange and yellow with one small pink flower. I was very sad when i delivered them a different colour to the one they can chosen. They tried to be positive even though it didn't match the colours and it was too late to do anything so we had to use what we had. Then as the bride was getting ready there were other issues. When she tried to put on the corsage, it broke and we couldn't put it on her wrist! She didn't have a bouquet for the day, the flowers on her wrist she had ordered instead of a bouquet. So when it fell apart she had nothing to decorate her hands/wrist. She was very upset, and this was a few minutes before the wedding would starts so there was nothing she could do. The flowers on the clip that i had requested to be small, were quite large and heavy and the clip used wouldn't hold. The poor bride kept trying to keep it in her hair with additional clips but it wouldn't hold. This was so frustrating because i had specifically asked it to be SMALL. Finally we had to break off some of the flowers on the clip to make it light enough to stay in her hair and we had to use many additional bobby pins to hold it. These were setbacks that added unnecessary stress and upset to what was to be a beautiful wedding day.
I am writing this email as I really think things could have been done better. We spent a lot of money on the flowers to add something nice to the day, and instead it was nothing like what we had planned. I feel its unfair that we paid for all these things as the colour was wrong, one was broken (didn't hold together) and the other was faulty and so large even though we specifically asked it to be small. When you pay for certain services you expect what you want to be delivered. Initially I felt so upset and heartbroken for my brother and his wife that I wanted to write an angry review. But on reflection I felt perhaps if I wrote you an email and expressed my disappointment you could take steps to make sure you improve quality and communication so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I would like to request a full or partial refund, as i feel it isn't fair and we didn't get what we paid for. If you don't agree, I feel at the very least a refund for the brides Corsage as she didn't get to wear it because it broke when she put it on.
