★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my brake pads replaced and “fitted” at Franklin Motors about 6 months ago. We then went into lockdown so I was not driving my car, a couple of months ago I drove and noticed a loud clanking noise when going over any bumps in the road. I was concerned but did not think it was the brakes, as how could it be, they were JUST replaced. Took it to a garage closer to home and they told me the brake pads were fitted incorrectly so I was obviously charged labour to have them fitted correctly. I emailed Franklin Motors to let them know that I am not happy I paid a fair about for them to be refitted as they were done incorrectly. No negotiation or compensation from Franklin Motors, just denial, even went I sent the invoice of the labour for needing to refit them where it states they were fitted incorrectly. All he replys, and I bet he is going to reply to this comment with is more denial saying how it was 6 months ago and I should have come in sooner, after I had told him I was working from home not using the car and that I am not a mechanic so did not expect the issue to be something I had fixed recently. Will not recommend to anyone who wants the job done properly. Paid $180 in labour for Franklin Motors to replace and fit them in the first place, and then paid $150 for another mechanic to fix Franklin Motors mistake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was able to fit my car in at very short notice the day I phoned! They were able to diagnose my engine light fault and resolve the issue also on the same day while I waited.
Very accommodating professional and friendly they offer Afterpay Zip Geneopay and are winz registered. Give them a try I’m glad I did.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my car in for a service which was supposed to include oil change, oil filter, cleaning air filter and topping up all fluid levels.
They had not topped up any of the fluids and did not change the oil as it was still black. I went back to request that my fluids be topped up. When I wasn’t looking, the guy filled up the coolant with water rather than coolant, and then denied that it was empty and told me it was full when I brought it in. As if to say it was all in my head. I then requested that the window washer compartment be filled up as it was empty, and he filled it up with water rather than window washer.
I am very disappointed with this service as it was a waste of money and I will not be back. I would not recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This business is an an absolute ripoff. They charged me $1150 to replace an alternator with a secondhand one. They said it took 6hrs which is an absolute lie. Replacing an alternator shouldn’t take more than an hour if you know what you are doing. They also replaced the belt which was needed but never did they ask me if that’s okay. They just presented the bill.
I have spoken now to multiple mechanics and they know fair well I was RIPPED OFF. Shame on you and the new owner of this business. I will make sure I spread the word so no one’s uses your business again. This is a close nit town and we don’t need con men like you ripping us hard workers off.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I received excellent service. I didn't get pushed around or words thrown all over the place. The price was direct and I understood exactly what they were doing, all I did was ask. Car Service, WOF and Check Engine Light all done within a day or two, with documents such as invoice for the proof of work. They are exceptionally accommodating and I appreciate what they have done.
