★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place! Plenty of space which was great for the dog. So awesome that the owners allow people to camp on their land! We find it disappointing how unwelcome dogs are everywhere these days….this place was a welcome find :)
The river is easily accessible with a good swimming hole right near the point of access. Sandflies are plentiful near South Island rivers, so come prepared.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little piece of paradise! Beautiful spot to park up for the night. We will definitely be back to stay again. Dan was really helpful and lovely to deal with. Fantastic that dogs are allowed - so many places aren’t dog friendly these days. Thank you for the stay, see you next time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and peaceful spot. Paddock is flat, easy access through the farm. The paddock has a gate where you can go down to the river with a nice little sand beach. River is beautiful! Totally reccomended for a couple of days if you are self-contained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a spot ?. We absolutely loved Dan’s place. We found it after a quick Google and so happy we did. The camp spot is right by the river, so we had a refreshing evening dunk after our days cycling. The field is flat (amazing if you’re tenting) and it was super peaceful. My only suggestion would be a composting toilet ? (but there are toilets around!) ? thank you Dan, this was the perfect place to rest our weary legs on our NZ cycle.
