Playground for the kids, old buildings full of unique items for sale, a brewery for the adults or bring a fishing road to fish right off the wharf. Or take a sort stroll round the bay to the blue penguin colony. Also marks the end of the Alps to Ocean (A2O) bike ride. Something here for everyone!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful local bay in Oamaru. Very clean, and photogenic area to shoot for photographers. Close to restaurants and bakeries, children's area, and a walking trail around the harbor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sea is so blue on a sunny day and the colourful boats are super cute. This wharf seems like something from a novel :) look out for the seals, shags and penguins in these parts.
