★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been training at Future for two months, mostly attending the no Gi Jiu jitsu classes. The coaches, students and environment are excellent.
James teaching the Wednesday jiu jitsu and his coaching often includes conceptual teaching like “win the scramble by making your head and hips higher than theirs”. I find these coaching notes superb at my blue belt level as they are tying in the techniques I’ve been drilling for the past 2 years.
Jahred teaches the Monday and Friday jiu jitsu classes. Jahred coaching has encouraged me to take a thoughtful and proactive approach to jiu jitsu. Historically I would just turn up physically to classes and roll hard but I want using my mind enough.
The environment is a modern martial arts, which is more informal than the traditional jiu jitsu environment.
