The theme of Gengy’s is originated from the founder of the Mongol Empire who had invaded and conquered most of Europe, Asia and Africa with his warriors.
After they had won a battle they had a huge victory feast in the shelter using their shields turn upside down over roaring camp fires and cook newly discovered meats and vegetables native to the conquered lands. Gengy’s restaurants have captured the idea of this fresh and tasty style of cuisine, and approached them in more modern and hygienic style. Come and discover our food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s my second time here because I tried to give it a second chance after feel that the food was not worth the price. Really disappointed.
They let us in at 7:50pm without telling us the kitchen was about to close. They rushed us into everything and wouldn’t allow us to eat in peace because they wanted to close. After being seated for 5 min I wanted a bowl of soup and they had already took it. They came to tell us to hurry to serve our food. They even turned off the music when there were 4 tables dining.
I would’ve preferred to know that the restaurant was about to close and go somewhere else instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s all-you-can-eat with a difference. Food is cooked while you wait. There’s pancakes, seafood, meats, ice cream, jelly, vegetables, and a great selection of sauces. The place is also licensed (cocktails, wine, etc). The kids loved the options and combinations. Will visit again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really enjoyable night out, the service was great, very polite and welcoming. The table service was efficient and well received by all of us. The way of making up your own meal to be cooked is a truly great idea, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Being a birthday it was nice how the staff all got into the singing and acting. We could not fault any aspect of the evening and will definitely be returning. Well done to all the staff ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been to Gengy's all over the North Island , this one is right up there with the best but with twice the room . The variety of food was unbelievable . And did i mention the sea food it was so fresh . The staff throughout were of the highest quality . The system that was in place once you are seated had been will worked out . They give you a card with 2 # on , table # & guess # . You go select a variety of food take to BBQ give them your card and go back to your table and wait for your meal to be delivered . No waiting in line , you wait relaxing at your table sipping on your wine aahh .
