★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE! Nice enough Motel. However, gave no refund on a room cancellation. Despite the fact that we cancelled the booking weeks in advance.
Their homepage is faulty too, returns an error when booking 2 adults+3 children for their "2 Bedroom Family" rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly, awesome people. I was early that the normal check in time by an hour and a half. They were that great, they let me in after a long day, as I'm a truck driver & had been on the go since midnight. Thank you for a awesome service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very pleasant stay at this Motel Host and Hostess couldn't do enough for us. Help me load up trailer carry all our suit cases in and out of Motel. Put the trailer on the ute then helped me back out on to then street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous motel. Centrally located in Richmond. Handy yo shops, restaurants and racecourse. Hosts were amazing. Very welcoming. Highly recommend this complex for business or holiday!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disapointed at how we were just treated by the owner. We booked a room in advance with a late check in advised. We called at 7pm as a courtesy to advise we were on the way. We were only then asked if we were double vaxed and when I advised not, we were told we were not welcome and would contaminate the room for the cleaning staff in the morning. This late at night we found an amazing motel who were horrified at the way we were treated and gave us their honeymoon suite. I will never recommend this motel to anyone. This is not how you treat people. We just stayed in motels in Motueka and Nelson and were not treated like this by anyone else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After discovering there was to be road works right out front of motel I emailed, raising concerns re noise as work was to be carried out from 7pm to 7am each day. Got no reply!! Rang in the morning I spoke to lady owner re my concerns and said 'I'd emailed you with regards to the matter' she replied 'I got your email, I'm aware of road works, we give you earplugs, and you shut the windows and shut bedroom door!!! ' all this in the middle of summer!!! Not on!!! My husband wldnt stay as wasn't at all happy with her arrogance and paying $190 a night!! This accommodation had been paid for us as our home was a bit of a construction site. I stayed for 4 of 5 nights but only because of expense to those who had paid for us.
Over priced, rude lady owner, wld never recommend!!!! Just wanted $'s.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Gladstone motel is fantastic. We have been here for a 4 night stay and the room has everything and more.Beautifully clean and serviced every day. Walking distance to cafes and shops. And Hosts Lesley and Mike are the best.So friendly and helpful. Very welcoming. We Definitely will be back to stay hopefully next year for Racing or a holiday. Highly recommend to our Family , friends and everyone too.
