★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I learned my core photography skills from Glen Howey years ago. He is my go to photographic guru. I try to go on a trip with Glen once a year to keep my photography fresh and to get the most up-to-date information on photography, cameras and post processing. I highly recommend Glen's tours to anyone interested in photography from the amateur to the professional. Just do it. He's a superb teacher of photography also a great guy, friendly, chatty and can put anyone at ease. Has his own four wheel drive and is an excellent driver. After a few days with Glen, you will come back with better photography skills, will have figured out the important buttons on your camera, and have the confidence that you can capture what you see. Just do it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sunset photo trip to Skippers Canyon with Glen was one of the top highlights of my trip to New Zealand. Driving along adventurous roads that I could never have accessed on my own, Glen would pull over at one lovely photographic opportunity after another. We would discuss composition ideas and lighting angles. I would take some shots, we’d evaluate how they came out, Glen would provide feedback and critique, and if I wanted, we’d try them again. Then off to the next stop! Glen had lots of photographic tips and tricks to share along with interesting tidbits about local history. I am still using the information I learned from Glen and I love the shots I took. If you have the opportunity to go out with Glen on a photo trip I highly recommend you do so!

Glen asked the right questions to gauge just what our prior knowledge of photography was.
A thoroughly enjoyable experience with Glen.
The dedication to the early start ensuring the best ‘light’ turned out to create a chilly but very productive start to our morning.
I was very happy with my half day tour and would thoroughly recommend this to any photographer.
Glen can support those just beginning with their craft or advise those needing some fine tuning to enhance their photography.
I will definitely be returning for another tour with a different location next time I’m in Queenstown.

It was my birthday and I wanted to have great memories of my trip to NZ, so I hired Glen to take me to some touristic spots and take good quality photos of myself so I can remember this experience, a request that normally Glen doesn't do but he happily did it for me. Not only I loved the spots he took me to but also he did such a great job with the portrait photos he took of me. I cant not recommend him enough. Thanks Glen!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Glen was a superb host to my son and myself. The weather didn't look great when we were about to start, but we wanted to proceed anyway and I’m so glad we did. We achieved wonderfully moody shots at locations few would ever visit. Glen’s a great conversationalist who makes you feel at ease, and the trip so much more enjoyable for that. And to top it all off, we got snow in the middle of spring. Highly recommended

Fabulous experience with Glen! I had a custom tour made up of two half day tours and it was worth every second!
The first part was to Glenorchy for sunrise and then to Skippers Canyon for sunset - highly recommended these two tours for the beautiful landscapes. Glen was really helpful throughout the whole day, giving me tips and teaching me new things about my camera and setting up my image. He was a wonderful host and definitely coming back on another tour in the future!!

The scenery in the Southern Lakes region is a photographer's paradise, but without someone to point out the best locations, finding them would be a mission. Glen is not only an excellent and experienced photographer, but his knowledge of the area and willingness to go above and beyond all expectations was simply amazing. I had so much fun and took so many beautiful images that after the morning tour, I immediately signed up for Glen's afternoon tour! What a day! Needless to say, I saw sights I had never seen before and enjoyed myself so much that I am booking another tour in November. Glen is an exceptionally nice guy and you simply won't do better than spending either a half, or better still, full day enjoying fantastic scenery and great company. My advise, if you get the opportunity to join Glen for one of his tours, DO NOT pass it up! Dean
