We stayed at the Little Greenie for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely and private, as well as fascinating with it's eco-friendly set up. The outdoor bath is divine - be sure to take a bottle of bubbles! There are some beautiful walks in the area and Lawrence (the owner) is an excellent and helpful host. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in Little Greenie. It inspired us to look toward a sustainable build in the future. The house was so warm in winter, had beautiful views to wake up to and the outside bath was such a treat. We'd love to go back.

Absolutely stunning place, beautiful beaches nearby, warm and homely housebus that has stunning views and pièce de résistance - the outdoor bath and shower set up ? nestled in (mostly) native bush for privacy, apart from my new best friend Weks the cheeky Weka who loved to have a gander. Kereru bird struggling to fly past and Californian quails sneaking around too, fantastic! Our haiku: House bus with stained glass, Bathing outside with weka, Is this paradise? (You may borrow our haiku no problems)

This was my second visit to Little Greenie which tells its own story. It is the perfect tranquil location and cheat. You are inside nature with all the mod cons. You can tramp the Northern Able Tasman deserted beaches and forests and come back and run the outside Bath slip in and sip a glass of wine. Then retreat into the kitchen and cook the most sophisticated meal or use the barbie. If its cool you can sit in front of the wall window and read and enjoy the astonishing view or thrust the windows open so you are effectively outside. The feel of the property is eco unsentimental so you really do look outwards and enjoy nature. As regards function the boiler is easy to fire up and the water is piping hot. There is nothing faddy or flakey about any of the functioning. Just the right amount of function to enjoy nature in all its magnificence.

One of the best places that I have stayed in a very long time. Arrived and drove up the hill to our own hidden house atop the hill. Lawrence then arrived, welcomed us and explained about the house and surrounds - super friendly. We then sat and watched the sun set, cooked dinner and then enjoyed the amazing nights sky from the external tub - given the little to no light pollution the sky was amazing! Definitely a place to come and stay for a week to be disconnected from the world, no TV! House had all the required mod cons and a fully stocked kitchen to enable us to cook up a storm. Will be back next time I am in NZ! Thanks for an amazing time guys! Well worth the visit.

Stayed at Little Greenie and can't recommend it enough. Initially, it can be a little daunting when you hear about the compost toilet but really, it seems to work much better than a standard toilet! The views are incredible and the room is always so warm and cozy. Incredible for the price!

Called the number provided on the website and a guy named Lauren answered the phone. He said that he's hoping that I'm not inquiring about accommodation and asked me where did I get his number. He said why am I calling him as the website says that they are fully booked and cut me out and dropped the call with me still talking on the other line. VERY RUDE! Is this how you treat people? You could have said in a polite manner that you are fully booked and don't have to sound irritated and unhappy! I know that it's too late for me to inquire given the holidays but just taking any chances for last-minute cancellations?

Kiwi Greenie is a great place. Stylish home, really well designed and built, very private and with absolutely outstanding views. The views changed radically with the tide and the light, so provided a never-ending display. The outdoor bath was really nice; while looking up at the stars, we saw a line of Elon Musk's Starlink satellites moving across the sky. There were several very friendly weka, so friendly that one bit my toe while I was relaxing. They would take any opportunity to get inside and judging from the way they pooped outside, that would be a real mistake! The composting toilet felt totally normal and there was no smell, so don't let that put you off. The place is very isolated, but actually very well located relative to many of the key attractions. We went to Wainui Falls, The Grove, Totoranui Beach and Anapai Bay in Abel Tasman National Park, and Taupo Point, all of which are best accessed from Wainui Bay. The Anapai Bay and Taupo Pt walks were fantastic
