★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tranquil bucolic reserve next to the river. Great for dog walking. More work is anticipated to extend and improve the Northern end of the walk toward the Wairoa bridge. No restrooms.

Right alongside the Wairoa River, secluded, quiet. Nice walks alongside the river.
All it really needs now is a toilet block, and the road edges tar sealing, it gets muddy in winter.
Great river to swim in.
