★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our takeaways from Golden Kiwi. Beautifully cooked seafood. It's a very popular takeaway looking at the numbers of people who placed orders while we waited for our dinner to be cooked. Highly recommend and if we visit Taumaranui again, we will visit. Thanks ladies!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a No. 2 meal for takeaway to eat on the drive back to Auckland. It was about a 20 minute wait since they were quite busy. they do quite a lot of different foods like pizza, chicken and burgers, but I just stuck with traditional fish and chips.
I quite like their batter since it was really crispy, it did hold a lot of oil and my mouth had a greasy feeling after drinking water. The fish and chips were nicely cooked. I wasn't a fan of the sausage. It was a really decent meal, all for $10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed in our meal. There is no way the fish was worth 5.90 a piece and $ 5 chips could be held in one hand and greasy as. No hurry to go back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice friendly staff, good old fashioned egg burger with traditional filling like lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onion and stuff and nice crispy chips. If you are elderly and it is only a lunch stop you might want to ask if they will cut the burger in half for you lol. Why go to McDonalds when you can get good old fashioned takeaways such as Golden Kiwi have on offer, and fair prices to boot, if I’m going thru Taumarunui at or near a meal time its Golden Kiwi for me every time.
