Goss Green Sport Horses began in 1993 at Goss Farm, The Green , Ashleworth, Gloucestershire. The stud name was formed from the postal address of the farm, ‘the green’ being the village green.
In 2009 Goss Green Sport Horses relocated to New Zealand. We are now based near Taupo (less than 10km out of town).
Our group of foundation mares, all proven and well bred, included ‘Sengoran Blessari’ from whom we produced ’Goss Green Jackara’ by Welton Crackerjack. ‘Jackara’ went on to event successfully at intermediate level after producing our graded pinto sport horse stallion Goss Green Mirage in 1999. Third generation already! Mirage is extremely versatile and has competed successfully in dressage, show jumping, eventing and side saddle classes. He has a great temperament and outstanding attitude to work. Goss Green Mirage is a pinto sport horse stallion that strongly passes on his traits to his progeny.
The overall aim of our stud is to produce competition horses with the kind of temperament that everyone looks for – easy to do in every way, with superb attitude, excellent confirmation movement and presence – capable and happy in their work. Have a look at our current sport horses for sale!
