★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in to view a car we saw on Trademe. After having spent a bit looking for the car with no help from any salesman, we went into the sales office to see if we could get anyone to help. A man of older age was in there on his computer and looked completely sick and tired of us when we tried to greet him. When we finally managed to ask him to get up, he walked towards us, looked at me in the eye and yelled at us while pointing to the car. Not sure why he was so rude...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent several days accompanying my dad, looking for the perfect car at many different places and finally found a nice Black Nissan Tiida at Great motors Botany. Spoke to a sales person agreed on a price but due to personal work commitment wasn't able to test drive and finalise the deal until the next day. So we organized a time to come in the next day to test drive the car and finalize the deal. We had asked that the car be put aside until then clearly stating our reasons. Came in the next day around the appointed time and found out that regardless of what we had instructed/asked of the sales staff (as we were fully interested to purchasing the vehicle.), a sales person had actually sold the car before we returned. He knew very well what we had spoken about/agreed upon the previous day and yet he went ahead and sold it to another buyer and proceeded to laugh at us about the entire thing and tell us it was nothing.
With this as our experience, I find it very difficult that any customer can ever truly trust them. THERE WAS NO REMORSE ABOUT BREAKING PROMISES/AGREEMENTS and IT IS VERY CLEAR THIS PLACE VALUES MAKING MONEY RATHER THEN BUILDING ANY SORT OF CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP. IT FELT AS THOUGH HE WAS RIDICULING (making fun of us) US as if even though we advised them of our circumstances as to why we had to return the next to finalise things, IT DID NOT MATTER BECAUSE SELLING THE CAR AND MAKING GENERATING PROFIT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE IS ALL THAT MATTERS TO THEM (an entirely cold business mind set.)
Thank you to the members of the staff that were actually helpful but with this outcome I think they all need to revaluate your approach towards customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nothing great about Great Motors... purchased a car from trademe, and asked them to ship it to Hawke’s Bay. They never mentioned about the scratches in the interior. Also they dropped the car in the shipping yard and never booked the shipping until we have to call the shipping company after a week to chase it down to get it shipped. Worst of all they registered the car in my name instead of my partner’s name, even though I told them many times specifically it’s for her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just purchased a car through Great Motors Botany and I have to say Barnaby was excellent to deal with, everything was arranged via email and a few phone calls and the whole experience was hassle free. He gave me time to arrange to travel to Auckland to pick it up, even collected me from the airport and even though I purchased the car sight unseen when I got there I was very happy with my purchase and condition of the car and the extra features Barnaby had installed for me. Thanks Barnaby for all your help and patience
