Over the years, the staff at Green Valley Rest Home have been wonderful in the way they have looked after my late husband, Ian. Ian, had a very complex and difficult disease, which was hard for people to understand and appreciate; it was a rare form of dementia but the staff at Greenvalley did very well in the way they cared for him and treated him like part of their family. As a family, we would not hesitate in recommending Green Valley Rest Home to others that are looking for care and support for a loved one.

As my late father's home for the past 2 years, Greenvalley may not be the latest, trendiest of facilities but you couldn't ask for a more hospitable caring environment. It is sunny, clean, well managed and has an ambience that is relaxed and comfortable including home made tasty kiwi meals in keeping with the expectations of the residents and their families. The staff are always engaged, very caring and relaxed. There is a real sense of a happy family at Greenvalley.

I am pleased to have chosen the Facility as this place is perfect place for my mother, as not only the environment is tidy and home'y but the professionalism goes beyond the standard up from the Business & Care Manager & the staff, collaboration of work being helpful and friendly giving the residents the care and the peace of mind for the family. My mum, i could say, for her stay of just more than a month, are well at ease and happy for the warmth relationship the Caregivers continuously showing to my mum in the absence of her own family. During the lockdown, i would say, the staff has been doing well, as they inform me the updates (Nurses ) and they have established a system that will enable to communicate to me regularly for my mum. They have also provided more activities (by the Diversional Therapist) for the residents especially at this time I would highly recommend the facility:)

My sister (91) has been a resident at Greenvalley for about four years and these would be her happiest years for the last 15 years. Greenvalley meets all of her needs and then some. She has congenial company and takes part in all of the wonderful activities offered by the very supportive and very friendly staff. The staff are professionals who ensure that Greenvalley is a caring community with lots of friendship and laughter. During lockdown due to Covid-19 the systems for keeping the staff and residents safe were second to none. Such a great relief to loving families. The facilities are wonderful - my sister, Dawn - has her own headphones too listen to her own music. The recently renovated gardens are a delight especially on a warm, sunny day. The home is administered by highly competent people. My sister can have accidental falls and when anything like that happens I am contacted immediately - their communications are superb. Very reassuring! I have filled out a number of surveys and feedback but I have never found anything to insert in "ways to improve Greenvalley" or anything negative. I couldn't think of a better place for my sister.

We have trusted the care of a dear loved one with these people. During the first lockdown, our loved one was sent to the hospital by the facility with the intention of not taking him back and we were left to find another place during lockdown when we could not visit any rest homes. To add more salt to the grief and stress this rest home have caused, they are asking for a payment for an invoice that was not sent at all. All dues were paid up to date apart from an invoice for August 2021 that they could not produce due to IT/billing system upgrade. I had asked for this invoice several times as it kept appearing on the monthly statement but of no avail. After many months and our relative no longer residing there and us recovering from the stress and grief this rest home and the management have caused, they generated another statement demanding the same non-invoiced amount and have threaten me with a referral to a debt collector. I would not wish it upon any loved one to be put in the care of this facility.
