★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to be abused by the Store Manager from across the Forecourt when the nozzle of the Pump won't release properly go ahead & fill up here. I have used these particular Pumps in many Gas stations & I am fully aware they have a release lever. This one wasn't releasing even though I pushed the Lever down so I tugged on it slightly & it released. The next thing I know there a Worker (Store Manager) yelling at me from across the Forecourt, who does that? I have seen him do this with others & for that reason I had not been back for 8monthsto find out nothing had changed & today it was my turn. Had he come up to me & spoke to me I would've accepted it but yelling across the Forecourt & arguing with me after I said I hadn't done what he'd accused me of is just over the top. He kept going even though the lady inside needed his help & was calling him over the intercom. He also told other customers who had just pulled up his version of the story who had no idea what it was about. That speaks volumes about him as a person.NEVER again will I or any of my family step foot in your store again & word of mouth goes along way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I strongly recommend getting the app Gasby so you don't over pay on fuel.
They have removed the speedlane so there is a chance that Waitomo or Allied will have cheaper fuel.
However, if you are wanting more than just fuel like coffees and snacks it's probably still a good stop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Payment terminal at pump wasn't working properly, tried to get help from employee but was told they don't help with the petrol and can't accept payments in store, or help with the terminal at all. Like why have employees at a petrol station if they can't help you get petrol? Are the customers supposed to do all the work these days? No forecourt support at all and no cash accepted... you realise cash is legal tender in NZ right?? Hopeless. Took ourselves around the corner to Caltex instead. Never going back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely NOT ‘The Ritz’. The 2.5 star rating says it all and considering that you have to select at least one star the real rating is 1.5. Often one or more pumps out of service. Grubby forecourt driveway surfaces, stinky greasy fast food odours inside. Bored staff (if you can coax them away from shelf filling). Expensive ‘bottom end’ mini market. Fuel was once ‘well priced’ but not so much these days. Use ‘Gaspy’ (Gas Spy) phone app’ … probably similar or better fuel prices nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gull does not offer 95 petrol. So the option is 98. Run a mini supermarket as well. No cash accepted notice was placed on the day I wrote this review
