★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One star for the food which was not too bad at all. Unfortunately one of the unfriendly staff killed the buzz so bad ALL 11 punters left instantly. Not exaggerating. Just ask the bar lady who looked hugely embarrassed. No wait.. just don't bother going there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So it’s a Saturday night and I have a few friends staying and thought we’d finish the night at the gumstore...sayss it’s open until 9pm...went there 7:55 and it’s closed. This is not the first time. It’s sad. Totara North is an amazing community and this place brings it down...I don’t think the man that made the gun store what it is would be pros of what his daughter is doing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, very basic food. Had a burger and chips as this seemed the best value. Burger patty looked and tasted like it was mass manufactured. Beer was lovely and cold, maybe will try the fish next time as this pub is right in a commercial fishing area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A group of us went for an evening to the Gumstore a few weekends ago. What a fabulous night we had! The Fish and Chips were the best we have had and the ladies who looked after us were fabulous. Lovely relaxing atmosphere with lots of memorabilia. We'll definately be back!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seemed ok buying dinner for me and mum, then only fish on menu cis steak was frozen....then ordered fish n chips for two.. snapper fish was like a fishbite almost $8 ea....asked for a receipt...lady looked puzzled for 10 secs then gave me a non gst receipt which is a rip move.... doesnt respond to my contacts...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A delightful and welcoming pub. It's exactly what you expect (and hope) in a place like Totara North. I was on my own on the deck and the lady in the kitchen came out to chat, which was a kind and friendly gesture.
