★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good BMX bike track for kids. Some events are held here and they will bring in stalls selling food at these times. The rest of the time it is pretty empty, so good for young kids wanting to practice without the crowds. Water fountain for drinking available and regularly cleaned toilets. There is an obstacle course about 50m away with a couple of swings to play on too. Walk over the river to Guthrie Park (one part of the river furthest away from the carpark is able to be waded through - ankle deep), or drive around in the car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At the lnception of I-ways created by John Key's, I was not impressed with tax layers being spent on these creations. I was completely wrong. It has in my opinion been one of the best things done. These kind of bike ways accessible by all create a healthy way of interacting with nature. I can't think of anything better in a world dominated by the automobile bubble. Liberate yourselves and enjoy....
