★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went into Hair Mechanics today and I completely regret it. I had grown a beard for about 3 and a half months and came in to get a trim and my beard shaped so I stopped looking like a hobo. Guy was super unenthusiastic and trimmed my beard with the clippers and barely spent more than a minute on it. I came home to look in the mirror with shock. The left side of my beard hadn't been barely trimmed and the right side of my beard was far shorter. He hadn't even bothered to trim the hair on the under part/neck part of my beard. Hence, there was no clean line trimmed around and no shaping whatsoever. Im furious as my beard looked horrific, far more than when I had gone in. Ultimately, I had to shave it completly off and am now pissed as it takes time and effort to grow. I will never be going back here and don't recommend this place to anyone. Your better off cutting your hair/beard by yourself. If I could give this review less than a one star I would.

I had gone to hair mechanic @ southcity for straightening my hair everything was going fine until it happened. The old lady i don’t know her name but if I’m sure she might be the boss . She just burned my skull with the straightening machine it was very painful . When i asked her she just pointed the straightening machine towards me and told me to do it by myself and told she is having 40 years of experience.I was really shocked by her behaviour. What an attitude. I should also say that there are lots of other staff who are really good ( laura & Steve) they are awesome well behaved and know their job. I’m really sorry for this bad review and I will never be back to this shop and won’t recommend to anyone.
Just a small advice to the old lady ( sorry i don’t know her name) even if you are experienced you are spoiling everything with your bad attitude. You should give more value to the customer don’t treat them like your worker .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff needs to be more professional, when ever they hire a new staff there a new rules, my partner was turned away 20 minutes before the shop was meant to close, if that is the case why do you have it as no appointments needed? Old staff’s have been doing there job even if a customer showed up 5 minutes before closing time. By doing this you guys are just loosing customer’s and it will be better to make it appointment basis if you are going to turn customers away even when you have 20 minutes to close the shop. Or teach your new staff how the shop works when you train them..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst place to get your haircut. Asked for a fade and they didn't even do a fade just an all round two and brought it up so high that my hair is basically a Mohawk. The owner is so incredibly delusional about his work (he thinks he's good at cutting hair) to the point he should be institualized. The prices you'll pay at that dump is the same as a place that can actually cut hair. Stop supporting this business.

Staff are nice and friendly. The old lady who runs the salon is horrible, unprofessional and not friendly at all.? Would not recommend this salon to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience. My boyfriend went there and didn’t realize how bad was it before I told him.
The man shaved the front of his hairs! The hair cut is not even straight.
He started to shaved his beard but didn’t finish and cut his face.
It’s not the haircut my friend asked for, but if it has been done correctly we could forget it.
Just have to wait now and go back to an other hairdresser..
