Awesome Reserve with miniature trains runs every week by volunteers. This is heaven for kids. Huge outdoor space to run around. $2 per train ride for all ages, big train small train even steam train runs by coal! Pedestrian crossing with train lights. A small lake that has ducks and geese (feeding not allowed) also in the lake there are volunteering miniature cruiseships and jet boat operating. There's also a park with slides and swing right next to it. Best to park at William Britain are, just cross a small bridge to get to the miniature train, ample parking on site. Runs from 1-4pm.

A highlight during a trip to Christchurch. This is so well run, obviously by passionate and friendly volunteers. Lines moved quick and it was an awesome unique activity for all ?

Easily the best miniature trains in New Zealand. Two tracks with an impressive collection of trains running including full scale steam engines. Track is nice and long. Get a concession ticket to save a bit of money. Great way to spend an afternoon

This an awesome and really fun place to be. so many trains to Look at and ride on everything from miniature diesel-electric to miniature steam trains with genuine coal powered engines. The trains are so much fun, there's tonnes of track...and even both a tunnel and an overbridge. There's also a level crossing with flashing lights for pedestrians. What's also fun is a lake for radio controlled yachts. picnic tables abound as do grassy areas for your mat. a really groovy place to come...highly recommended.

The most fun you and your children can have for $2 per ride. Don't let any queue put you off it moves quickly. Your tickets never expire. It is well over an hours drive for us but we take our 2 and half year old quite regularly and she loves it. There is a play ground and toilet near by. A must do if you have never been here. Check them out on FB.

It was very busy today but what an awesome experience.Lines were flowing fast and plenty of trains going. I enjoyed myself, brother and the 2 kids had fun. The two ladies had amazing customer service Jacky and her mum. Thank you ladies I would highly recommend going here. We were fortunate enough that they got the sausage sizzles going and it was so worth the wait. Weather held off, got a little sprinkle but not enough to stop us from not going on again. Awesome train drivers and people to deal with . Thank yous
