However this year a prospective landlord tried to contact them for a reference and was fobbed off by our property manager claiming I was never a tenant of theirs. As references aren't a service they can charge for I expect they just don't want to be bothered with it. Lazy and unprofessional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have rented 2x properties from this harcourts first one through Kerry Herbert, who was very easy to deal with.
The second one we rented, the original agent we had was not great, however we have decided to give a 5 star rating because of the work of Jamie Clark, who has taken over.
Our house was sold and set to be demoed once tenancy was up. Jamie has offered to assist us in finding a new place and has provided references and everything else we have needed, within a moments notice
As a tenant I would recommend either of these two agents

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ben and Jason have managed our property for us during a difficult time. They were very good at taking photos of the property, giving us advice, feedback and finding us tenants. They have literally been our eyes and ears from the beginning as we were unable to visit the property. They also helped us find good tenants at a time when it was difficult to find any due to the lockdown.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am so disappointed with harcourt rental service. I end my tenancy in December last year, but the bond haven’t been returned to me till now. This is because they reply the email very slow, and they did not update the documents with Tenancy support. And they reply the email very slow, and sometimes they ignore us when we sent email to ask about the bond.
I am so disappointed with their service, I will never rent house or buy house in Harcourt, and I will also tell my friend this story. My roommate already sent a complaint letter to them, hope they won’t Ignore us this time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not recommend using this company if you are a landlord. Our house was handed back in filthy condition which included grime and mould around the tapeware, grey grout which had turned black from lack of cleaning, urine stains on the floor and more. I should note the house had been renovated 12 months prior to a very high standard. The property manager claims the filth we discovered is considered "reasonable" and was unwilling to fix this. I wish I could post photos to show the extent of it. I feel absoltely let down by Harcourts and wouldn't use them again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never had any issues with the previous landlords. It has not been 4months I am with Harcourts renting a studio room and already there has been a number of issues. First and foremost, they don't know how to communicate with people. It feels like they just don't care about anything. Mind you property managers, you might overrule or be rude to you colleagues or juniors but not towards the tenants or clients. The wages that you get from your company comes from the tenants and the way some of the property managers attitudes are, there will come a time when you won't have any clients left.
