About Hastings City Art Gallery
The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and communities while in our facility is always our first priority.
In keeping with Government recommendations, all vaccine pass requirements at Te Whare Toi o Heretaunga - Hastings City Art Gallery have been removed. While we no longer require vaccine passes to visit the Gallery, we will continue to keep our visitors as safe as possible, while doing what we do best - delivering high-quality, contemporary art experiences for our community.
In Orange, 1m physical distancing applies and everyone is required to wear masks (including our team) while in the Gallery. This helps protect you, and our vulnerable community members, while in our spaces. Please note, children under the age of 12 are not required to wear masks (except when using the Terminus virtual reality headsets - this is an extra precaution we have introduced to protect our community, due to the proximity of headsets to the nose, eyes and mouth).
If you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of Covid-19, please stay home. While we know it can be hard to miss out, staying home helps keep our spaces safe, so we really appreciate you considering others before coming to Te Whare Toi o Heretaunga. Our exhibitions usually run for eight to 12 weeks, so there will be plenty of time for you to visit once you are healthy and well again.
We would also like to take this moment to reassure you that we have developed robust operating procedures and policies for opening in a Covid-19 environment. Hastings District Council, and Te Whare Toi o Heretaunga, will continue to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of Covid-19, following Ministry of Health guidelines, in the months to come.

β β β β β Awesome art gallery. I got the chance to learn more about Jan Nigro's work. As an Asian, her artworks are abit thought-provoking, but you can begin to understand her point of view from the well designed art gallery. Kudos! ????????
